The Kitchens Family: Highlands Ranch Family Pictures

While there may be a few kids who are fairly neutral when it comes to having their picture taken most kids fall into one of two categories- those who hate it and those who could smile all day long posing for the camera. Our little Goddaughter Berlin is definitely the latter. We’ve known the Kitchens family since I started my current “day job” several years back and have been great friends ever since. They moved to Colorado from Texas back then but unfortunately only stayed for a little while before moving back to their home state. We miss having them here but LOVE getting to spend time with them every time they visit Colorado. It’s been amazing to watch their daughter Berlin grow- from a little miracle baby born just a bit over 2 lbs to now a 3 year old full of energy with the biggest smile ever! Back in October they came out to visit for a family vacation and while this wasn’t a planned photo shoot we decided since it was such nice weather that we’d love to take some family pictures for them. I have to smile every time I see that big grin on Berlin’s face. We just love this family and are so blessed to have them in our lives. Love you guys!!

Rysner Family Portraits: Highline Canal

Over the years looking at thousands and thousands of photos I’ve developed an obsession with teeth- straight, white, and of course smiling:-)Well the Rysner family takes that obsession to a whole other level. I guess that’s what happens though when you look at teeth for a living. If you hadn’t guessed already, Dr Rysner is a dentist, and not just any dentist… he’s MY dentist! For a few years I struggled finding a good dentist and my parents recommended I see Dr Rysner because not only was he a great dentist but a great guy as well. Needless to say they were right and I no longer dread going to the dentist- seriously if you need an awesome dentist he’s your man! Anyway awhile back he contacted me to set up some family pictures but between both our schedules and life it wasn’t until this fall that we got the chance to finally meet his whole family and take photos for them. His wife Jill and their two boys were just as great- we really enjoyed the afternoon with everyone! Fall is a favorite of mine and you just can’t pass up throwing leaves it’s too much fun:-)Here’s a sneak peek from our session- thanks guys! And yes I remembered to floss:-)hehe

The Oaks Family: Highline Canal Family Portraits

After a much needed short vacation to Washington state (we’ll be posting more about our trip in a few days) we have a lot of blogging to catch up on so keep checking back for several new pics.

A couple weeks back we photographed some family portraits for the Oaks family. You might remember Ryan from ourĀ senior portrait session with him up at Red Rocks and in Downtown Morrison last year. Well, this time we had the opportunity to meet the whole family for a session right here in Highlands Ranch off the Highline Canal. They were such a fun group to work with! We had a great time getting to meet everyone and hopefully they didn’t walk away with too many mosquito bites. The one time I forget bug repellant is when we actually need it- go figure! Here’s a sneak peek from our session.
