The Coleman + Vigorito Family: Centennial

I know, I know… back in November we said our 2016 season was finished but a few days before the New Year we had one final session with the Coleman + Vigorito family. Back in 2010 we photographed Robyn + Chuck’s wedding along with a couple other sessions for them (a senior session for their daughter Jade and an extended family session) so we were really excited to get to work with them again. Since Robyn’s parents were in town for the holidays we tentatively planned family pictures for the week after Christmas provided the weather would hold. Fortunately we had a day with perfect weather for late December and so we were able to meet them at 17 Mile House Farm Park. It was so nice getting to see everyone that afternoon and meet some new members of their family! Their daughter Christina is now married with two adorable little girls and Jade’s boyfriend and dad were also included as part of the family. There’s so many spots to photograph at this location that even in the winter it made for a perfect backdrop for their pictures. We had a great time with all of them and are excited to share some of our favorites- enjoy!

The Johnson Family: Littleton Family Portraits

Our session with the Johnson Family was back at the beginning of August but we waited just a bit to put them up on the blog as they had a small announcement they wanted to share with their family first…. They are expecting baby #3 next March! Come spring the twins Avery and Roman will have a little brother or sister. We’re so happy for Cydney and Kiel! So many changes in the past 5 years since we photographed their wedding at The Manor House. And since that location holds such special memories for them it was the perfect backdrop for their family session. The day started out a little rough particularly for Roman who just wasn’t into having his picture taken that day. Although he’s adorable even with his pouty face:-)The twins are just a little over a year and a half which can be a more difficult age for kids- particularly twins. Cydney and Kiel just took the whole thing in stride though- poking fun at the situation with their own fake crying moment we photographed so they could laugh at later. But the day wasn’t all tears and we got some cute smiles and laughs from both the twins before the day was done. They are cuties! Here’s our favorites from the day- enjoy!

The VanderHeiden Family: Centennial Family Pictures

Just before the snow came in last week we were able to get one more “fall” session in. This time at a location we had scouted a couple years back but hadn’t had the opportunity to photograph yet. Minus trying to steer clear of the other half dozen photographers it was a perfect spot for a large group! Between the red barn, an old white farm house, the field etc it gave us plenty of variety without everyone having to hike a mile. While they have quite a few new members to their family since the last time we saw them, we have known the VanderHeiden family going on close to 2 decades. Well at least Michelle has:-)Tom and Nancy have been good friends of Michelle’s family way back since she was in middle school. They were able to get their entire family and grandchildren together for a big family session that we had the pleasure of getting to capture for them. We had a great time with all of them and are so excited to get to share some of our favorite images from that afternoon! Such a beautiful family! Enjoy!

The Brandle Family: Evergreen Family Photography

Last weekend we met up with the Brandle family at Elk Meadow Park in Evergreen. It’s been years since we last photographed there and I forgot just how beautiful of a location it is especially near sunset! They have been friends of my brother and sister-in-law for years (Ryan even officiated my brother’s wedding back in 2011) so we were excited to get a chance to photograph their new little family:-)Their 8 month old little man Brooks is ADORABLE! How could you not smile with that face?! He did so well for the session and we loved that they wanted to incorporate his blocks that had been passed down from multiple generations. We even got a few with their cute pup and the whole family together. They definitely have a beautiful family and we had a great time getting to work with them that afternoon. Thanks Ryan and Emily for a fun session and here’s some of our favorites!

The Kooi Family: Littleton Family Portraits

Two summers ago we got to photograph the Kooi Family and had the best time! Since that summer their family has grown and now they have three of the cutest and funniest kids- talk about loads of personality! We headed over to the gorgeous fields near South Platte Park and couldn’t believe our luck, NO mosquitos! Well at least until we actually stepped foot into the fields… I was a walking mine field after this session but it was worth it! The kids are all so funny and really liked “posing” for the camera. Kendall was hilarious with her hillbilly pose with the grass in her mouth and I found a cute little lady bug that Camryn held. Their little man Dylan was so cute and was making some hilarious little faces probably due to the fact that they found out after the session that he was cutting a tooth at the time but you’d never know based on how well he did! Here’s some of our favorites from the day including one quick shot we got right during the most beautiful sunset.

Leonard Family: Castle Rock Family Session

What a difference a year makes! The last weekend in June we met up with the Leonard family at Columbine Open Space in Castle Rock for a family session. They were hoping to find a location with a barn and after some research we were so happy to find this spot just outside of town! It just happened to be exactly one year from our session with them last summer and it was so much fun to see how much their kids have grown since then. Reese is now walking which makes exploring everything around him so much more fun for him and a great workout for his parents:-)We did manage to capture a few of the whole family together while Reese enjoyed moving rocks from one place to another. We always love getting to work with Jennifer & Nick and with Lexi & Reese they make one of the cutest families ever! Here’s some of our favorites!

The Gall Family: Wonderland Lake Family Portraits

Fall is my favorite time to photograph and especially for family portraits- the warm colors this time of year can’t be beat. Last weekend we headed up to Boulder to meet the Gall family at a location we hadn’t been before, Wonderland Park. I’m so glad we were able to take advantage of the last of the leaves and the perfect weather that afternoon. This was actually our second time working with the Gall family. We had the pleasure of working with them back in 2010 when Sawyer was just a little guy and since then they’ve added another adorable little boy to their family, Avery. The boys actually did really well that afternoon and I love the reaction we got from them while throwing pebbles into the lake and playing with the leaves. We had a really good time getting to take these pictures for them. They have such a cute family and it was so cool to see how well Sawyer is doing and growing since the last time we saw him. Sara and Trent thank you for inviting us to capture these for you!
