The Brunner Family: Golden Colorado

While we never made a huge announcement, in 2014 we did transition out of wedding photography and began only photographing portrait work. It was a big change for us after almost 10 years of focusing mostly on weddings but one that we are glad we made. It’s allowed us to get to work with so many of our past clients whose lives also moved on past the wedding and into starting families. In 2009 we had the pleasure of photographing Alyssa + Matt’s wedding in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It will always be one of the most memorable and best weddings we ever had the opportunity to photograph! Fast forward almost 7 years later and these two lovebirds now have a beautiful little family 🙂 We met the Brunners up in Golden about 2 weeks back and it was so great getting to see them again and meet their 2 boys. Their oldest Cole is almost 3- that age where you wish you could bottle up and share just an ounce of the energy they seem to never run out of. He and his little brother Landon are such little cuties! We had a great time with them that afternoon and are so happy for them! Here’s a sneak peek from their session- enjoy!

The Arnoldy Family: Lair O’ the Bear

A couple weeks back we had the opportunity to photograph the Arnoldy family up at Lair O’ the Bear. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer afternoon and after weeks of trying to work around the snow to capture the look of spring it was so great finally getting to meet them! It was such an odd spring this year but up in Idledale things were a little slower so we were able to catch some flowers in the field and even a few blossoms on the trees. They are friends of the Brandle family who we had the pleasure of photographing last year and we are so grateful for the chance to photograph their family this time 🙂 They have three cute kiddos who made for a very fun session! Emerson is just getting the hang of this whole walking thing and was ready to go go go! The twins Noah & Mia are 5 and seem to have some good healthy competition with one another. I’m sure having twins has it’s challenges but it was fun watching these two 🙂 We had a great time with them and got so many cute pictures we’re excited to get to share! Annie & Eric it was so great meeting your family!

The Chasinoff Family: Larkspur Family Photography

With some changes we’ve made this year to our business it’s opened up a lot more time for family sessions which we LOVE getting to photograph. A week ago we got to meet friends of Jennifer and Nick Leonard, the Chasinoff family. We had a great time getting to take their photos and at one of our very favorite locations- Dawson Butte! They have a beautiful family with two beautiful girls! Allie their youngest has such a personality too- always my favorite part of getting to photograph families 🙂 The question we are most often asked when it comes to family pictures is what is the best way to dress? Since a picture says way more than words and the Chasinoff family NAILED it with the perfect clothing choices, I’ll just refer people to this post from now on. It was such a pleasure getting to work with these guys and I’m so excited to share some of our favorite pics from our session- enjoy!

The Fox Family: Daniels Park Family Portraits

Earlier in the year you may recall we photographed Matt & Kristie while she was pregnant for a couple’s maternity session. Well, their little man entered the world about 6 months ago now and this time we had the chance to photograph the three of them- Matt, Kristie and baby Ethan. He’s adorable!!! We’ve know this awesome couple for a few years now after photographing their wedding and their not just clients but friends. They recently started a fellowship prayer group that we were able to join and are so glad to have them in our lives! Anyway, the first week of November on the first day of the time change we met up at Daniels Park for pictures. I always forget just how fast the sun sets this time of year and especially that first day when we lose an hour of light in the evening. We actually got some pretty awesome backlit images as the sun was going down but it soon got really cold so we cut the session short and headed back to the house for just a few photos of Ethan while we had a little bit of daylight left. We’ll be taking a few more pics since our session got cut short but I loved these ones we got that day. Everyone was troopers with that cold air coming in especially Kristie in a dress! (Michelle was freezing even with gloves and a jacket). Here’s some of my favorites- stay tuned for the rest!
