The Coleman + Vigorito Family: Centennial

I know, I know… back in November we said our 2016 season was finished but a few days before the New Year we had one final session with the Coleman + Vigorito family. Back in 2010 we photographed Robyn + Chuck’s wedding along with a couple other sessions for them (a senior session for their daughter Jade and an extended family session) so we were really excited to get to work with them again. Since Robyn’s parents were in town for the holidays we tentatively planned family pictures for the week after Christmas provided the weather would hold. Fortunately we had a day with perfect weather for late December and so we were able to meet them at 17 Mile House Farm Park. It was so nice getting to see everyone that afternoon and meet some new members of their family! Their daughter Christina is now married with two adorable little girls and Jade’s boyfriend and dad were also included as part of the family. There’s so many spots to photograph at this location that even in the winter it made for a perfect backdrop for their pictures. We had a great time with all of them and are excited to share some of our favorites- enjoy!

The Eschenfelder Family: Larkspur

I’ve worked with Chip for a few years now and after talking about family pictures for quite some time we finally worked out the details for a session last month with his wife Jen and their 12 year old son Logan. We met up with the Eschenfelder family down in Larkspur at one of our favorite spots- particularly in the fall. They wanted a true Colorado feel and between the trees and the open field against the hills in the backdrop I think we got just that! Not to mention the light couldn’t have been prettier that afternoon! While we love getting to photograph big families and new families with babies it was a nice change of pace to photograph just the three of them… a tad more relaxed without all the people and little ones haha 🙂 . We had a great time getting to work with their family and got some beautiful pictures that we are so excited to share! Here’s some of our favorites- enjoy! P.S. if you need ideas for what to wear for a family session they did a great job coordinating colors and patterns and are a perfect example of what to wear.

The Rothe Family Portraits: Lair O’ the Bear

My favorite time of year is finally here and as always fall makes a perfect backdrop for pictures! The end of September we met up with the Rothe family at one of our favorite locations- Lair O’ the Bear. It’s hard to believe it has been 8 years since we originally photographed Angela + Robert’s engagement session the fall of 2008! While we have loved the new opportunities we’ve had since leaving wedding photography 2 years ago we will always be grateful for the wonderful people we met during those wedding years- especially couples like Angela and Robert! We had such a great time working with them all those years ago for their engagements and wedding and were so excited when we heard from them about photographing their family this fall. 2 1/2 years ago they were blessed with an adorable little boy who is not only adorable but has the cutest personality on top of it! Harrison loved getting to see his picture on the back of the camera- even if it was before you actually took the picture haha 🙂 We had so much fun seeing them again and getting to photograph their beautiful family! They even brought along their doggie Mischa who was so good for the entire session- love the pictures of her and Harrison together. It was such a pleasure getting to work with them again and meet Harrison. Here’s some of our favorites from the day!

The Johnson Family: Littleton Family Portraits

Our session with the Johnson Family was back at the beginning of August but we waited just a bit to put them up on the blog as they had a small announcement they wanted to share with their family first…. They are expecting baby #3 next March! Come spring the twins Avery and Roman will have a little brother or sister. We’re so happy for Cydney and Kiel! So many changes in the past 5 years since we photographed their wedding at The Manor House. And since that location holds such special memories for them it was the perfect backdrop for their family session. The day started out a little rough particularly for Roman who just wasn’t into having his picture taken that day. Although he’s adorable even with his pouty face 🙂 The twins are just a little over a year and a half which can be a more difficult age for kids- particularly twins. Cydney and Kiel just took the whole thing in stride though- poking fun at the situation with their own fake crying moment we photographed so they could laugh at later. But the day wasn’t all tears and we got some cute smiles and laughs from both the twins before the day was done. They are cuties! Here’s our favorites from the day- enjoy!

The Brunner Family: Golden Colorado

While we never made a huge announcement, in 2014 we did transition out of wedding photography and began only photographing portrait work. It was a big change for us after almost 10 years of focusing mostly on weddings but one that we are glad we made. It’s allowed us to get to work with so many of our past clients whose lives also moved on past the wedding and into starting families. In 2009 we had the pleasure of photographing Alyssa + Matt’s wedding in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It will always be one of the most memorable and best weddings we ever had the opportunity to photograph! Fast forward almost 7 years later and these two lovebirds now have a beautiful little family 🙂 We met the Brunners up in Golden about 2 weeks back and it was so great getting to see them again and meet their 2 boys. Their oldest Cole is almost 3- that age where you wish you could bottle up and share just an ounce of the energy they seem to never run out of. He and his little brother Landon are such little cuties! We had a great time with them that afternoon and are so happy for them! Here’s a sneak peek from their session- enjoy!

Larkspur Family Portraits: The Leonard Family

It was an interesting start to the spring to say the least. The weather just couldn’t make up it’s mind which season it was! Last weekend things finally seemed to calm and the trees had enough leaves to actually look like spring- perfect timing for our session with the Leonard family down in Larkspur. Dawson Butte is one of our favorite locations- and the Leonards are one of our favorite families 🙂 It had been two years since we last photographed their family and their adorable kids Lexi and Reese have definitely grown since we last saw them! The craziest thing to think about is that this September will mark Jennifer & Nick’s 9 year wedding anniversary! Doesn’t really seem that long since we photographed their wedding but then again so much has changed that it also feels like forever 🙂 Like always we had a great time getting to photograph their family! We’re excited to share our favorites from the day- enjoy!

The Stengel Family: Larkspur

Happy 2016!!!! Can’t believe how fast the end of the year flew by and that we are now already in March. It’s been nice to take a little breather after such a busy fall and the rush of the holidays. Although the majority of our sessions make it to our blog, at times we don’t have the chance to share everything. So, before we start back up this spring we thought we’d share a few sessions from last year that we didn’t share at the time. Back in November we got to photograph the Stengel family down at Dawson Butte. Since our session was planned toward the end of the month they decided it would be great if we could find a location with snow for the pictures. We lucked out the week before and in some areas had a good foot or more to walk through that afternoon. It’s not too often we get to photograph in the snow so we’re really glad they were up for it! We had such a great time with all of them and it was fun getting to do something so different. Here’s a few of our favorites from their session- enjoy!
