Christy + Matt: Wedding in Castle Pines

With the unofficial end of summer over Labor Day weekend, it’s the start of a busy fall season with lots of sessions to capture what I believe to be the most beautiful time of the year in Colorado. The fall season kicked off with Christy & Matt’s wedding the first Saturday of September. We have to send a big THANK YOU to Cydney from Stiletto Events for bringing us this cute couple and to Shelly & Dan who hosted the wedding on their gorgeous property in Castle Pines. It was also nice to have such a short drive from our new house to the wedding that day! Cydney did a fabulous job both in planning and with all the decorations for the wedding (no wonder she just earned the honor of 1st Place from the Denver’s A-List this year). I had to include a few extra pictures to share the details that went into the day. They held the ceremony shortly before sunset so immediately after we took the family portraits we caught the last of the sun setting behind the mountains and got the most gorgeous light!! I just love the images we got of Christy & Matt in the sunset. During the reception they opted to go without a tent and instead filled the property with little lights from the ground to the trees which created a very romantic atmosphere that was a lot of fun to photograph. We had a great time and wish Christy & Matt the best. Here’s some of our favorites- enjoy!

Sarah + Luke: Breckenridge Wedding Photography

It’s been a crazy year so far! We FINALLY moved into our new house a week ago- 3 moves in 6 months is not fun to say the least especially when 2 of them were right at the start of the wedding season. So glad to now be moved to a permanent location and we can get back into the routine of things again. The weekend before we moved we headed up to Breckenridge to photograph a wedding we’d been excited about for quite some time- Sarah & Luke’s. We met Luke at his brother Matt & Alyssa’s wedding back in 2009 in Jamaica and had such a great time getting to work with both he and Sarah for their engagement session a few months back. The wedding couldn’t have been at a more beautiful location. The ceremony was held at the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center which has a lake situated against the mountain backdrop. We had perfect cool mountain temperatures (so nice to escape from the record heat wave down in Denver) and unlike the days leading up to the wedding, no rain to contend with. Other than the bright sun (no smog/ozone to filter through up here) you couldn’t have asked for a better day for a wedding. Their ceremony was one of my favorite to date with Luke’s grandfather, a retired pastor, officiating- how cool is that?! We had a great time that day and got some beautiful images we’re excited to share with them. Here’s some of our favorites we captured throughout the day. God Bless!
